Playroom's Cosmic Cows Abducted for UFO Fest
In a unique promotion, Playroom coordinated with Hotel Oregon McMenamin's, the epi-center of the McMinnville UFO Weekend Festival, to offer a complementary copy of its cosmic cows game as a welcome gift in each room for the sold-out festival weekend guests.


    /Connecticut News Articles/ - MCMINNVILLE, OR, May 16, 2008 - Playroom Entertainment has consented to the abduction of its Cosmic Cows as part of a fun family tie-in with The 9th Annual UFO Festival, the nation's second largest gathering of UFO fans and extra-terrestrial enthusiasts held at the infamous UFO sighting in McMinnville, Oregon.

In a unique Promotion, Playroom coordinated with Hotel Oregon McMenamin's, the epi-center of the McMinnville UFO Weekend Festival, to offer a complementary copy of its cosmic cows game as a welcome gift in each room for the sold-out festival weekend guests.

In addition, retail outlets and souvenir sites, such as Hopscotch Toys in McMinnville, are stocking Extra Cosmic Cows games to meet the crowd demand for fun, outer space-themed products for the May 16th and 17th celebration weekend.

Dan Rowen, president of Playroom, said, "As soon as we published Cosmic Cows last year, it seems that we were instantly drawn to participate in the McMInnville ufo fest. We are very happy to work with Hotel Oregon McMenamin's and participate in the fun and celebration of UFO Fest. Cosmic Cows has definitely identified a very faithful following of players who are also ufo believers and sci-fi fans.

Hotel Oregon will also play host for one of the weekend's highlight events, the Alien Costume Ball. The management has also arranged for some additional copies of Cosmic Cows to be available for party goers to play between dances and drinks.

Cosmic Cows, (MSRP $15, for ages 8 and up), is the game where players are the aliens that have been attracted to one area, just like the herd of UFO fascinated fans who have been pulled to McMinnville from all over the galaxy. When all the players gather for a game of Cosmic Cows, they have to choose different tractor beams in order to abduct three of the cute cow miniatures from the board. The player that uses his best positive energy when rolling the dice and out of this world strategy to pull three cows into his Zone wins.
