Business Solutions International Boston Supports "Operation Smile" Through Donation and Volunteering
BSI Boston Helps Create Smiles All Over the World

BRAINTREE, MA, November 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Business Solutions International (BSI Boston), a leading outsourced sales and marketing company in the Boston area, recently organized a Bowl-A-Thon to raise money for "Operation Smile." The event, held at the Boston Bowl, raised a total of $7,200 for Operation Smile, a worldwide medical charity that helps needy children get life-altering surgeries to fix their facial deformities.

"It was fun bringing together the team for some friendly competition and to help a great cause like Operation Smile." said Matt Osborne, president of BSI Boston. "We all had a blast. And the fact that we were able to put our heads together and raise over $7,000 for Operation Smile is amazing."

BSI Boston participated in the Bowl-A-Thon where each rep each one raised a minimum of $60 to guarantee their spot to bowl. BSI Boston harnessed the team's innate competitive spirit and directed that energy into the fundraiser.

BSI Boston selected Operation Smile because the company had been thinking of a fundraising effort that would complement its local charitable efforts, which included volunteering time at the Boston Food Bank and raising money for The Jimmy Fund.BSI Boston also adopts a family from the Salvation Army every year. The Bowl-A-Thon, which turned out to be a huge success, was its first large-scale charitable venture.

"We wanted to do something on a bigger scale," said Osborne, who got the inspiration to help out this organization at, of all places, a billboard at Logan International Airport. A frequent traveler, Osborne was immediately struck by the ad's message of hope, generosity and goodwill. The ad said that for as little as $240, you can help a child get the surgery he or she needs to be able to lead a normal life. He knew then that he, along with his entire team at Business Solutions International, had to help out those children afflicted with such deformities.

He immediately enlisted the help of his team, their family and friends to raise much-needed funds for Operation Smile. The sales reps did their utmost to raise money to play in the event and the donations started to pour in. The response, according to Osborne, was truly inspirational. He said, "It's amazing how just a little effort from several people can make such a difference in the lives of others. Together, we were able to create smiles and help heal lives."
