Gourmet Snack Food Company Supports Breast Cancer Research
Deep River Snacks Donates 15% of Profits to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation
OLD LYME, CT, August 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deep River Snacks, a family owned and operated gourmet snack food company, is pleased to announce its first donation to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation - 15% of profits from its 40% Reduced Fat Lightly Salted Kettle Chips.
It was a year ago that Deep River Snacks joined together with the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation (TBBCF) to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money to find a cure. Deep River Snacks dedicated its 40% Reduced Fat Potato Chip flavor to this cause. Each bag features a pink ribbon stating that this particular flavor supports breast cancer research and TBBCF is promoted on the back. In addition to this awareness, a portion of all sales for this flavor is directly donated to the foundation.
"We are committed to helping fund research to find a cure for breast cancer", said James Goldberg, Founder and President of Deep River Snacks. "This is our way of giving back and it allows community involvement because for every bag that consumers purchase, they are in fact supporting the cause. And, the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation was a perfect fit for Deep River because TBBCF donates 100% of all monies raised to research."
In addition to the awareness and monetary contribution, Deep River Snacks will be donating samples to all marathoners participating in TBBCF's October 3, 2009 Walk Across Southeastern CT.
