The De Mayo Knee Positioner , used in conjunction with the De Mayo Universal Distractor , holds the patient's knee in a completely stable position during arthroscopic procedures. Its locking system offers an advantage for the surgeon to lock flexion/extension while allowing freedom of rotation of the knee. The positioner's composite boot fits all patient anatomies and is compatible with all CAOS navigation systems.

The new, lighter-weight knee positioner makes it easier for operating room personnel to place and manipulate the positioner on the OR table and for hospital personnel to transport and insert the equipment into a sterilizer.

The De Mayo Universal Distractor provides benefits not previously utilized for arthroscopic knee surgery by eliminating the need for a stress post and allowing the surgeon to achieve maximum arthroscopic exposure through controlled finite joint distraction.

In enabling the surgeon to fully control and maintain joint distraction, the De Mayo Universal Distractor lets the surgeon see into the posterior regions of the joint. This advantage eliminates the need for an assistant to physically manipulate the knee joint or for the surgeon to achieve distraction by applying pressure to the joint with the aid of a stress post, which sometimes creates post-op pain.
